The Bar Code Rebellion a continuation of the previous. Picking up were The Bar Code ended, with more twists and plots but went in a slightly different direction from what was speculated in the first book. The ending was not as expected although some parts were predictable. Suzanne Weyn may have slacking a bit with this one. But, I sill enjoyed how the story was told. This was a good read for me - looking forward to more books from Suzanne Weyn in the future.
If you're a fan of Dystopian put these two books as must read:The Bar Code & The Bar Code Rebellion

The Bar Code Tattoo review
Posted : 12 years, 11 months ago on 30 November 2011 03:26 (A review of The Bar Code Tattoo)This book takes you on a mind blowing journey with unexpected twists that will have you fixated on the outcome. For those who have not yet read this book I suggest you do or put it on your list as an alternative.
Okay, okay… I must admit I myself was a little skeptical about the whole ‘new world order, cyberpunk dystopian society’ thing but Suzanne Weyn did an amazing job creating a world that gives us a glimpse to where we are likely heading. Scary thought, yes, but a thought nevertheless should be considered.
Kayla Reed knows that once she turns seventeen she will be eligible for the bar code tattoo. From the get-go she is undecided about getting the ‘too although everyone around her has already gotten it or soon will. Every suspicions she had about the ‘too was confirmed when tragedy struck her family and friends. Now alienate by society and also by her peers she has but one choice…to run; to escape from which seems to be an inescapable force…
This was a good read for me I am looking forward to read book 2.
